As Creative Designer at City Lifestyle, I helped spearhead a
comprehensive visual rebrand, infusing fresh energy into the
franchise’s identity. Crafting editorial layout templates and
universal house ad designs, I ensured seamless cohesion across diverse publications nationwide. Pioneering a scalable social media template program, I streamlined brand presence across communities and social platforms.
This branding was then applied to create templates for regularly occurring elements and sections within the print publications including multiple cover template options, the table of contents, letter from the editor, masthead, Local Experiences, City Scene, Realty Report and the Local Happenings section. You can see a sampling of some of these sections in action below.
Although the printed publication is the primary point of contact with readers, City Lifestyle also provides a wealth of digital content. As we developed the new printed experience, we wanted to provide opportunities for readers to easily “go beyond the page” with the scan of a QR code that would allow them to go deeper. We also wanted to engage with digital-only audience members by providing similar content found in the printed publication formatted for social media. The Local Experiences featured below is an example of this concept of multi-platform content creation in which I developed templates were developed to support both print and social media content.

Additional social media templates were created to support quick, efficient content creation. A handful of these can be seen below.

Additionally, I designed the inaugural quarterly publication, spotlighting outstanding design and sales performance within the City Lifestyle network of magazines. City Lifestyle Quarterly reflects on the previous quarter and celebrates the wins of its franchise members with categories like “Biggest Sale”, “Best Story” and “Best Photography” along with editorial-style articles featuring outstanding publishers, tips for success and, in general, some really good stories (City Lifestyle’s specialty).
